Kalau para artis dangdut aksi panggungnya kaya gini, tidak salah kalau banyak orang sinis sama jenis musk yang satu ini, walupun ada juga lagu dangdut yang bertema baik. Jangan salahkan musiknya tapi salahkan penyanyinya. Bagaimana mungkin sebuah lagi tentang kesedihan tetapi penyanyinya joged kesetanan......

Once there was a magical place were cotton candy grew wild and gummy bears came to life.

This magical kingdom was in the middle of a great metropolis and it formed the background for a very energetic performance by California Gurls - Katy Perry. .

Yes, Rockefeller Plaza in the heart of New York City was transformed into a magical, sweet space as sexy singer Katy Perry preformed her hit song California Gurls.

At one point during her performance she held a giant lollipop in a rainbow of colors.
Her makeup was exquisite with her glowing hot red lipstick and power blue eye shadow.

Woodstock 1969 - Hippie dippy

This weekend, we can expect round-the-clock coverage of Woodstock’s 40th anniversary — or as I like to call it, the 10th anniversary of its 30th anniversary. (Maybe you prefer the 20th anniversary of the 20th anniversary.)

Year after year, boomers are compelled to celebrate Woodstock as an earth-shaking episode on the level of the Second World War.

Cue the superannuated hippies! Roll the archival tape of wasted, hairy people sliding through the mud! Someone please call one of the surviving members of the Grateful Dead! We’re in the dog days of August and this is a feel-good story news channels can use to kill significant time. Weren’t those flower children cute? And so idealistic!
The boomers are always happy to open their scrapbooks and share those misty, water-coloured memories. Let’s face it: no generation has enjoyed the same kind of cultural hegemony. Year after year, they’re compelled to celebrate Woodstock — without much media resistance — as an earth-shaking episode on the level of the Second World War.
Yes, the scale of the event was unprecedented. Almost half a million kids made their way to Max Yasgur’s farm in Bethel, N.Y., drawn by the lure of free love, cheap weed and, er, relatively inexpensive tickets ($18 US in advance for a three-day pass, $24 at the gate). Most of hippiedom’s pied pipers were there, including Janis Joplin, The Band, Sly Stone and Creedence Clearwater Revival. The long weekend resulted in two births, two deaths, four miscarriages, innumerable drug freakouts and a truly legendary traffic jam. Logistically speaking, Woodstock made the Beatles at Shea Stadium look like a Jane Austen tea party.
Some of the performances have stood up well, especially Jimi Hendrix’s magical rendition of The Star-Spangled Banner and The Who’s scorching set, which drew heavily on the recently released Tommy. The mythologizing of the festival started almost immediately, when Joni Mitchell sang about getting “back to the garden” in her 1970 song Woodstock. Clearly, she saw the event in almost Biblical terms, as a return to the innocence of Eden. When I watch the old footage, I’m immune to its alleged deeper meaning — I just see stoned, middle-class, primarily white kids trying to indulge their senses, and not always having fun doing so.

What rankles me about the Woodstock nostalgia is the generational smugness, an almost pathological narcissism that comes out whenever the festival is discussed. Here’s a news flash for ex-hippies: the ’60s weren’t the only time when people protested war, flirted with anti-materialistic philosophies, listened to rock music or worked hard to save the environment.
And yet those “3 days of peace and music” will never go away. Each anniversary spawns some sort of tribute concert — the 1999 edition, in which Fred Durst and Limp Bizkit basically incited the crowd to riot, was especially misguided. This year, you can indulge your inner rebel by purchasing a six-CD box set called 40 Years On: Back to Yasgur’s Farm, or a 40th anniversary edition of Michael Wadleigh’s Woodstock doc, which comes with an iron-on patch and a reproduction of an original ticket. It’s just like you’re there — except, of course, you’re holding a useless piece of cardboard, and instead of tripping out with a gazillion other truth-seekers in the middle of nature, you’re watching the spectacle unfold on your home theatre with the AC cranked.
If you wipe away the sentimentality, you could argue that the real legacy of Woodstock — and that of its precursor, 1967’s Monterey Pop — is the commercialization of outdoor mega-rock festivals. Woodstock itself was a financial disaster, but other promoters were obviously watching, trying to figure out how to turn a profit from such a massive gathering.
Back in early 1979, I bought a humorous poster that I proudly displayed on my wall. It was an illustrator’s satirical vision of what Woodstock’s 10th anniversary would look like. It featured countless thousands of yuppies — the original participants — gathered again on Yasgur’s farm. But instead of their tattered t-shirts and Birkenstocks, they’re wearing designer suits, sipping cocktails and making small talk, embracing the Me Decade without hesitation. For me, that image still says more about the Woodstock myth than anything I’m likely to hear this weekend.

Incredibly Sexy Female Musicians

Zooey Deschanel

Opening our list is the doe-eyed singer-songwriter and actress Zooey Deschanel. She’s half of indie folk band She & Him, and easily hypnotizes the masses with her rich vocals, reminiscent of a by-gone era. We’re definitely jealous of her husband, Ben Gibbard, but it’s not like he’s got any lack of ladies hounding him, either.

Meiko

Small-town girl Meiko was born and raised in Roberta, Georgia, but moved to LA to set down her roots and begin her music career. The indie-folk singer-songwriter’s work has since appeared on television, and along with her piercing looks, her voice is amazing live.

Alexandra Lawn

Alexandra Lawn is the cellist behind indie rock band Ra Ra Riot’s addictive tunes. Should you be wary of a cello in a rock band? Not in this case — it goes perfectly with their style, and we’ve never before seen the cello played so sensually.

Annie Clark

Singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Annie Clark, best known under the moniker St. Vincent, is one hot musician you can’t miss. Her voice is soothing and her eyes are gorgeous — plus, chicks with guitars are sexy.

Regina Spektor

Soviet-born Regina Spektor captured us with her angelic voice and luscious looks. Her family moved her to New York when she was young, where she excelled in music once discovering her parent’s upright piano. You can hear a tinge of an accent in her singing, and we like it.

Wata

Wata is the guitar behind the experimental Japanese rock band Boris, and this hottie can shred better than you. We don’t think you’ll have a problem with that. Will you?

Alicia Keys

R&B soul queen Alicia Keys is hot, and has a set of pipes to match. She started playing piano at seven, and once she mastered Beethoven, she began writing her own music. Alicia has since taken the world by storm — and claimed a trunk full of Grammys to go along with it.

Alison Goldfrapp

Alison Goldfrapp is an English singer-songwriter that really gets us going. She fronts electronic band Goldfrapp, which became Grammy award-nominated back in 2007. Although she has changed her personal style many times, her fairy-like looks keep our attention — and her voice is nice too.

Anette Olzon

Swedish-born Anette Olzon is the siren soprano behind the vocals of Finnish symphonic metal band Nightwish. She replaced the band’s old female lead back in 2005, and has used her musical background — built from childhood — to fuel her powerful vocals.

Ximena Sariñana

Mexican born beauty Ximena Sariñana is a Latin Grammy and Grammy award-nominated singer-songwriter and actress. She’s pretty new to the music scene, with her first album released in 2008, but with a soulful voice like hers, we’ll likely hear more of her soon.

Melissa Auf Der Maur

Melissa Auf Der Maur is quite the renaissance woman. She’s an established rock musician with a career that has included five years as Hole’s bassist as well as touring with The Smashing Pumpkins — oh, and she’s a published photographer. She basically kicks ass at vocals, bass guitar and looks hot to boot.

Björk

Björk Guðmundsdóttir, or more simply known by her first name — thankfully — is an Icelandic singer-songwriter, music producer, actress and composer. She’s the oldest hottie on this list, but at 44 she looks amazing — hey, we’d hit that.

Laura-Mary Carter

Laura-Mary Carter is one half of two piece alt-rock band Blood Red Shoes, based in England. She’s one of the cutest girls with a guitar we’ve seen yet.

Gabriella Cilmi

Gabriella Cilmi is an Australian singer-songwriter of Italian heritage best known for her single Sweet About Me. She’s taken home six ARIA awards and we just wish she’d take us home.

Christina Scabbia

Italian goddess Christina Scabbia is best known as one of the lead vocalists in Italian gothic metal band Lacuna Coil. Her vocals are hypnotizing and have also been featured in bands like Apocalyptica and Megadeth.

Johanna Charlotte Wessels

Charlotte Wessels is best known as lead-singer in Dutch symphonic metal band Delain. She’s a classically trained vocalist, but was first trained in jazz. Either way, she uses her talents for the greater good of our ears — and eyes.

Emily Wells

Violinist Emily Wells was born in Texas to a musical family, and picked up the violin when she was just four years old. She’s only released one official album, but her looks and skills are undeniable.

Simone Simons

Dutch-born Simone Simons picked up an interest in music when she was only 10, and began taking classical singing lessons at 15 after listening to the Nightwish album Oceanborn. She’s since picked up lead vocals for the symphonic metal band Epica, and continues to hypnotize us in all her redheaded glory.

Rachel Flotard

Singer-songwriter-guitarist Rachel Flotard is the frontwoman of Seattle-based power pop/punk rock band Visqueen. She was a back up singer in support of hottie musician Neko Case — we can only fantasize about what else the two of them together could accomplish.

Greta Salpeter

Singer and pianist Greta Salpeter fronts the band The Hush Sound, and though they’re on hiatus at the moment, she’s working on her own EP. She has angelic looks and the sweetest voice.

Hayley Westenra

Classically trained vocalist Hayley Westenra is not only talented, but gorgeous. She’s a UNICEF Ambassador too — the youngest in the world — and she’s performed for dignitaries around the globe.

Joanna Newsom

Joanna Newsom is an adorable harpist and singer-songwriter. Although some would describe her vocal style to be “childlike,” while she exhibits quite a few original styles, her skills on the harp are undeniable.

Kaki King

Sultry Kaki King is a guitar player and singer-songwriter from Atlanta, Georgia. She was a featured guitarist on Tegan and Sara’s album The Con and usually dabbles in experimental rock. She’s an amazing talent and was named “Guitar God” by Rolling Stone magazine in 2006.

Kate Earl

Kate Earl was born in Anchorage, Alaska and started playing piano at 4 years old. She moved to LA and signed onto her record label in 2004 and although she’s newer to the mainstream music scene, she’s too hot to leave off.

LIGHTS

Valerie Anne Poxleitner, best known as LIGHTS, is one of the cutest Canadian imports we’ve seen to date. She’s mainly known for her synthpop, but we dug up an amazing acoustic number by her that really showcases her musical abilities — as well as that adorable face.

Lisa Mitchell

Aussie singer-songwriter Lisa Mitchell is cute as a button — and it shines through in her music. She began guitar lessons at 12, played in local cafes for a while, and finally debuted on the music scene back in 2007.

Little Boots

Little Boots, born Victoria Christina Hesketh, is a British singer-songwriter mainly known for her electro-pop work. She has an amazing voice, looks as cute as her stage name sounds, and knows how to multi-task like no one we’ve ever seen.

Lykke Li

Li Lykke Timotej Zachrisson, better known as Lykke Li, is a Swedie indie singer-songwriter that’s so good we can’t get enough of her. Her tunes sound like sweet powdered sugar-coated goodness.

Marina Diamandis

Welsh-born Marina Diamandis, also known by her stage name Marina and the Diamonds, is one drop-dead gorgeous musician. She’s adorable when she sings too.

Melody Gardot

Gorgeous singer-songwriter Melody Gardot was born in New Jersey, and lived there most of her life. Her music career began at age 16, but in 2003 she was hit my a car and had to relearn everyday activities — from brushing her teeth to walking. She even had to relearn how to sing and does so with pure talent.

Katie Melua

Soviet-born Katie Melua relocated to England at 14 and hopped onto the music scene in 2003. Her voice is mellow and although she may not be mainstream in the US, with her talent — and looks — she should be.

Michelle Branch

Michelle Branch may be one of the more mainstream musicians on this list, but she’s definitely not lacking on the talent side of things — she does pretty well in the looks department too. Her claim to fame was back in 2001 with her hit Everywhere. She has a great live voice and not to mention, she was on the cover of Maxim. She must be doing something right.

Natasha Khan

Alt-rock hottie Natasha Khan, better known by her stage name Bat for Lashes, is a British-born singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist. She’s picked up several BRIT award nominations, and never ceases to bring something awesome to the table.

Nellie McKay

British-born American jazz singer-songwriter Nellie McKay is one smokin’ blonde jazz crooner. She’s released four albums and we can’t get over her quirky, yet amazing, vocals. She’s been on Broadway and has worked with the likes of Cyndi Lauper. You can also catch her in the romantic flick P.S. I Love You.

Norah Jones

Nine-time Grammy award-winner and world-class hottie Norah Jones is best known for her jazz vocals and piano skills. She exploded onto the mainstream scene in 2002 with her album Come Away With Me and has gone nowhere but up from there.

Orianthi Panagaris
